We’ve been dining at Laughing Oyster since the 1960’s and applaud the NEW owners in maintaining the fresh food menu we’ve enjoyed over the years. Keep up the good work - we’ll be back!

Fantastic restaurant in a great location with wonderful food and service. Probably the best seafood I've ever eaten. Need to reserve a table.

What an amazing, delicious and totally unexpected restaurant. One if the starting points to the wilderness that is Desolation sound. If I was to have a meal at this restaurant before a trek to the wild I probably wouldn't leave civilization behind. Scott and Shannagh the new owners are delightful, accommodating and gracious. The menu is a perfect size and covers all tastes. Now the meals they are absolutely delicious well presented, hot and did I mention delicious . You deserve to treat yourself with a visit to this hidden gem.

This is a must do experience if you are in the Powell River/Lund area. The views from the restaurant and patio are to die for. Boats & Seaplanes can access via Okeover govt dock. Something for everyone, seafood is fresh and delicious. Service is first class. They do host weddings as well. Never disappoints.
Lovely location, lovely people
We visited this restaurant with family as a small wedding reception during their buffet, and it was wonderful. Wine selection is great, the setting is beautiful, and the staff are pleasant and attentive without being too noticable. I will definitley go back!

Our June 3,2023 dinner at the NEW Laughing Oyster was perfect. We’ve going there since the 1960’s and and new owners are carrying on the tradition of fresh seafood. I loved the wild mushroom soup and halibut and my wife always enjoys the chicken. Keep up the good work - we’ll be back.
